Direct mailing notice

I am registered with the Postal Preference Service and the Mail Preference Service as not wanting to receive any direct mail marketing. Personally, I also do not wish to recieve any unsolicited bulk email marketing and my nominal charge for handling such email is £100 per unsolicited email. In the cases where I can identify the sender, I will notify them that they are legally obliged to remove me from their mailing list under the Data Protection Act 1998. To quote from the Post Office's direct marketing FAQ on this topic,

A recipient's name and address can be bought and sold as part of a mailing list only if the recipient consented to their information being sold for direct marketing when they originally supplied it.
[...]
If it turns out the recipients haven't consented you can still be in breach of the Act even if you thought they had.

In case you hadn't guessed, I never consent to my name being placed on direct marketing lists and so, if you send me any direct mail you are in breach of the Act.
